More like 99% pain, once you factor in all the physical, mental, and emotional grief that the universe has lobbed at Sidney Crosby.
It’s like he made a deal with the devil; Sid gets incredible skill, work ethic, and hockey sense, plus at least 1 Stanley Cup, 1 Gold Medal, and the ability to rebuild and captain a beloved NHL team. In exchange, he will be mercilessly mocked from the time he is a boy, his entire life will be pain, he will suffer catastrophic brain injuries, and he will never be able to enjoy success.
Sidney Crosby is the only man in the world who would take that deal. And he probably thinks that he fleeced the devil because he gets to play hockey every day.
